1. Who We Are
Atlas is a nonprofit-focused data analytics consulting platform operated by Kevin Marcelin ("Atlas," "we," "us," or "our"). Atlas provides free data analysis, dashboards, and intelligence services exclusively to nonprofit organizations. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information submitted through this intake form.

2. Information We Collect
When you complete this intake form, we collect the following categories of information:
- Organization identifiers: Organization name, EIN (Employer Identification Number), website URL
- Operational profile: Mission area, annual budget range, years in operation
- Technology stack: CRM or client record systems in use, report types currently generated, financial review frequency
- Pain points and priorities: Recent decisions requiring better data, key performance metrics watched by leadership, data gaps, financial or operational concerns
- Self-assessments: Confidence in donor retention data (1–5 scale), awareness of cost per beneficiary
- Audience and workflow: Who will use Atlas outputs, current report-sharing methods, desired reporting frequency
- Goals: 90-day data win vision, fundraising challenges, programs of concern
- Referral source: How you heard about Atlas
- Additional context: Any free-text notes you choose to include
We do not collect names, personal email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security Numbers, payment information, or any financial account data through this form.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used exclusively to:
- Prepare a personalized data analysis and recommendations for your organization
- Look up publicly available IRS Form 990 filings and sector benchmarks to contextualize your situation
- Identify your most impactful data blind spots and prioritize recommendations
- Tailor any deliverables (dashboards, reports, proposals) to your team's specific audience and goals
- Follow up with you about our analysis findings
- Improve the Atlas intake process and service offerings (in aggregate, never individually identifiable)
We do not use your information for advertising, automated decision-making, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering your requested analysis.
4. How Your Data Is Stored
Form submissions are transmitted via HTTPS and stored in a private Google Sheet ("Atlas Nonprofit Intake Responses") hosted in a Google Drive account accessible only to the Atlas team. Google Workspace infrastructure is used for storage, which is subject to Google's own security and privacy standards (see Google's Privacy Policy at google.com/privacy).
No data is stored in third-party CRM systems, marketing platforms, or analytics databases. Your submission is never stored on public servers or exposed via public URLs.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise share your information with any third party, including:
- Advertisers or marketing networks
- Data brokers or aggregators
- Other nonprofit organizations
- Government agencies (except as required by law)
- AI model training datasets
The only third-party infrastructure involved in processing your submission is Google Apps Script (used to write form data to Google Sheets) and Google Drive (used for storage). Both are governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If we are legally compelled to disclose information (e.g., by a valid court order or subpoena), we will notify you to the extent permitted by law before doing so.
6. Public Data We May Access Separately
As part of preparing your free analysis, Atlas may independently research your organization using publicly available sources, including:
- IRS Form 990 filings (via ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer API)
- Candid / GuideStar organization profiles
- Your organization's public website and social media
- Sector benchmark data (AFP, Urban Institute NCCS, Giving USA)
This research is conducted using only publicly available information and is not linked to or stored alongside your form submission.
7. Data Retention
We retain your intake form response for as long as your engagement with Atlas is active, plus up to 24 months after our last interaction, to allow for follow-up and reference. After that period, your response is permanently deleted from our Google Sheet.
You may request deletion at any time — see Section 9 (Your Rights) below.
8. Security Measures
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- HTTPS encryption during transmission from your browser to Google's servers
- Access controls: Only the Atlas team (Kevin Marcelin) has access to the Google Sheet containing submissions
- No public sharing: The Google Sheet is never shared publicly or with other Google accounts without explicit authorization
- No local copies: Submissions are not downloaded or stored on personal devices outside of Google Drive
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we use industry-standard protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the information we have on file for your organization
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request that we permanently delete your submission from our records
- Withdrawal: Withdraw consent for us to use your information at any time (note: this will end any active analysis engagement)
- Portability: Request your submission data in a portable format (CSV or PDF)
To exercise any of these rights, email kevinmarcelin7@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request — [Your Organization Name]." We will respond within 10 business days.
10. Children's Privacy
This form is intended for use by adults representing nonprofit organizations. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this form, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
11. Cookies & Tracking
This intake form does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts (e.g., Google Analytics), or any third-party trackers. No data about your browsing behavior, device, or IP address is collected by Atlas. The only network request made by this page is the form submission POST to Google Apps Script.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If material changes are made, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy. Continued use of the intake form after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
